Monica Monahan: Anti-Bullying Practitioner / Conflict Resolution Consultant, former secondary school teacher with twenty years experience in the education system as a Visual Arts Teacher and Transition Year Co-ordinator. She now works as an Anti-Bullying Practitioner in over 50 schools and youth organisations across the country. She holds an Honours Master's of Education in Aggression Studies from Trinity College, Dublin and is currently pursuing doctoral study in Peace Psychology at the University of Marburg, Germany. She advises and supports on a range of Policies: Anti-Bullying, Dignity at Work, Critical Incident, Wellbeing, and Mental Health Strategies.

She trains Members of School Boards of Management, Management Personnel, Teachers, Ancillary School Staff and Students in Policies and Practice. She facilitates conflict resolution and provides professional development programmes for teachers in anti-bullying. She also designs innovative, bespoke anti-bullying programmes in special settings and contexts which fit the needs of specific clients. Monica is the designer and facilitator of Roscommon Wellbeing At Work Programme which was piloted with senior managers in Roscommon County Council in 2013. She is a contributory author to 'Bullying in Irish Education', Cork University Press, 2013, and has been a key Note Speaker on Anti-Bullying Policy & Practice at several conferences, including:

Bullying in the Digital Age- The Challenge for Schools Conference, March 29th, 2014;

Monica initiated and co-designed the ABI Programme, the first whole-community anti-bullying programme of its kind which has just completed the pilot phase in Roscommon primary schools and will be piloted in schools in Galway county in 2016. The programme has been partially funded by Roscommon County Council and has been endorsed formally by Roscommon Joint Policing Committee and Galway Roscommon Education Training Board.
